How often are fire door inspections legally required?

There is no single frequency written into all legislation, but current guidance (including the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022) expects regular, recorded checks. In many buildings this means at least quarterly checks in communal areas and annual checks of flat entrance doors, or more often where risk demands it.

What happens if a fire door fails inspection?

Our report will clearly flag any non-conformances, assign a risk rating, and outline recommended remedial actions. You can then instruct your chosen contractor, or ask Bellspire to arrange remedial works where required.

Do you carry out remedial works?

Yes. In addition to inspections we can organise certified remedial works such as replacing hardware, upgrading seals, or supplying new, correctly rated fire doors. All work is documented so you can evidence compliance.
